Eleven young students from University of Peshawar have successfully completed the World Bank Youth Initiative Programme.
These eleven students includes Ali Gohar, Mussawer Ali Shah, Benish Khan, Shumaila Zeb, Dua Mujeeb, Haseena Shaukat, Hafza Nisar, Alam Zeb, Muhammad Adnan, Khalid Mehmood and Wajid Iqbal, who were selected for motoring as independent observer of the ongoing World Bank Projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
They were subsequently awarded with performance awards by Country Director (World Bank), Rasheed Bin Masood in a ceremony held at the Bank Office in Islamabad.
They in their report have submitted that by and large the projects were performing well, while identifying some grey areas for immediate improvement in them, besides suggesting measures for future ventures. The students had prepared a documentary report about the project and presented it in the ceremony.
The report was made part of the future guideline for the coming projects. University of Peshawar was the only institution whom students were selected for the job to monitor projects of the World Bank Multi Donor Trust Fund.
The students worked under the leadership of Director Planning and Development (University of Peshawar), Dr. Badshah Munir Bukhari.
The best part about this project is that, Wajid Iqbal among these eleven students is a part of A.V.I.R.A's Team. He joined A.V.I.R.A as a photographer. Congratulations Wajid Iqbal on behalf of the whole team. And Congratulations to all the eleven students from University of Peshawar. ~ Omer Irfan
